(AP) The family of the trucker whose rig crossed the center median on I-78 near Easton, leading to the deaths of four people, said he had a good safety record. Roy Bridges Jr. of Hummelstown, Dauphin County, had no prior accidents in 15 years as a trucker, according to his stepmother, Diana Bridges of Hummelstown. "He won many safe-driving awards," she said.

Bridges, 36, and two others died Monday night when three tractor-trailers travel- record ing in the other direction struck him or each other after he entered their lanes, police said. A chain-reaction accident a short time later involved two more tractortrailers, and claimed a fourth life. "We feel very sure that he didn't fall asleep at the wheel," Diana Bridges said. "He had a very good night's sleep the night before." State police Sgt. Steve Kapanka of the Belfast barracks said the primary focus of the investigation is on Bridges, not the truck he was driving.
